Important Dates
Eligibility Criteria For IGNOU Admission
The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has different eligibility criteria for different programs:
10+2 or equivalent exam
Students must have passed the class 12 board exam or an
equivalent exam with at least 50% marks from a recognized board or council.
Bachelor's degree
Students must have a bachelor's degree in any discipline
with at least 50% marks, except for degrees in technology or engineering, which
require 55%. Students from reserved categories may need only 45% marks.
B.Ed.
Students must have a graduation or post-graduation degree in
any subject with at least 50% marks, except for degrees in technology or
engineering, which require 55% marks. They must also be either a trained
in-service teacher in elementary education or have completed an NCTE-recognized
teacher education program. Students must also qualify for the
IGNOU-B.Ed. entrance exam.
MBA
Students must have a bachelor's degree from a recognized
university with at least 50% marks, except for students from reserved
categories who may need only 45% marks. There are no age restrictions or
work experience requirements for MBA admission.
